I had originally wanted to create a small planter box for myself, but I had told my partner my ideas, and he suggested we work together to make a larger on for our Math teacher Carissa. After some crazy brain storming (some of the ideas were REALLY crazy) we decided to stick with a plain pallet style. We had to measure the area in our teacher's room, and figure out how big we wanted the box to be. Once we got our dimensions, we started to cut the pieces we needed. All of our pieces only needed the use of the miter saw, which we both were comfortable using by now. Once we made sure all the pieces would line up, we stained each of them a dark brown. After that my partner and I took turns drilling in the pieces. Once that was done I had brought succulent cuttings I had prepared before from my house, out them all in their pots, and brought the to school. After that we drilled the planter box into the wall using a technique called a "French Cleat". Once we made sure it was secure, we put in the plants, and presented it to our teacher. The end result looked really nice, I think the stain color we used made it so. Working on this project taught me how to better use a drill.
